Driver Periodic CPC

Driver Periodic CPC

Every professional driver now operating an HGV or PSV in the UK must meet minimum standards for CPC training. There are very few exceptions.

With the 1st deadline now past for all the drivers who had grandfather rights and with most having completed the 35 hours CPC.

With the last minute panic from some drivers and when discussing this with them, most felt it would be better if they completed one a year.

We can offer a wide range of CPC courses our main partner is CERTAD LTD

Identity checking

Approved centres must provide proof that, before any training session starts, all drivers have their identity checked by any of the following forms of photographic ID:

  • a photocard driving licence
  • a valid passport
  • a digital tachograph card
  • a driver qualification card (DQC)

Drivers undergoing a medical review should hold a receipt from the DVLA which confirms their driving licence number. These drivers must bring this receipt and any of the photographic ID listed above. This ID should be checked against the DVLA receipt based on the driver’s name and date of birth before the training can start.

ID Checking as updated on the 4 September 2014
